National Occupational Classification (2016)

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) system is Canada’s national system of organizing and describing occupations. Jobs are grouped based on the type of job duties and work a person does.

For immigration purposes, the main job groups are:

• Skill Type 0 (zero): management occupations, such as:

    o restaurant managers

    o mine managers

    o doctors
